SprayOnyx Installation Instructions
SprayOnyx
Installation
Rear camera sprayer for the Ford Bronco. Read all the way through before starting. Steps are the same for both tops except where marked.
Before you start
Check your top first
Work out which top you have, because the kits differ.
Hardtop — you have the washer plumbing this kit taps into.
Soft top — it has to be hardtop ready. Hardtop-ready vehicles have the plumbing in the back. A rare early batch was built without it, and those won't work with this kit.
Dual Top — this is the option that lets you run both. You get the connector for the hardtop and the connector for the soft top, so the kit keeps working when you swap.
Pick your kit at the top of this page. Every step below is the same for all three except where the page says otherwise.
How to tell if your soft top is hardtop ready
Look in the back of your vehicle. If you find this washer fitting and connector, you're hardtop ready. If they aren't there, this kit won't work on your vehicle.
Tools
- Trim panel removal tools
- Lug wrench or the factory tire iron, for the three spare tire lug nuts
- A second person, for lifting the spare on and off

( Dual Top kit )
For owners who run a hardtop part of the year and a soft top the rest. You get both connectors, so you swap rather than buy twice.

Installation
Remove the spare tire
Two people for this
The spare is heavy and awkward at that height. Have a second person help lift it off and back on so nobody gets hurt.
No tire iron? The factory one lives under a small access panel in the cargo floor.
Take off the three lug nuts and lift the spare clear of the carrier.
Remove the trim panels
Work in this order:
- Centre piece
- Left side panel
- Right side panel
- Panel on the back of the door
Remove the panel on the back of the door
This is the vented panel marked Accessory Ready. Behind it is the vent the tubing passes through later.
Disconnect the black connector and fit the Y
Disconnect the black connector and fit the inline connector
Disconnect the black connector and fit your connector
Find the black washer connector and unplug it.
Which one you unplug depends on the top that's on the vehicle right now.
Connect the hardtop connector (C) in line. It tees off the factory washer line so the original feed keeps working, and the new run comes off the Y.
Connect the inline connector (C) in line. Soft top kits use a single connector rather than a Y.
Your kit has a quick connect on each leg, one for the hardtop and one for the soft top. Fit it once and switch legs when you change tops — nothing else needs to come apart.
Route the tubing
Run the tubing (D) down the left side, across the bottom, then up the right side. On the right side, go only halfway up — stop where the wire bundle runs.
Route along the back of the door
Carry the tube along the back of the door, following the factory wiring channel. It passes through the hole circled below.
Cut the tube
The tubing comes attached at full length, so there is slack on purpose. Bring it to the vent and cut it once you reach the far side of the hole.
Measure before you cut
Hold the tube in its final position first. You can always take more off, but you can't put it back.
Push the line through the vent
Take the second assembly — two ball valves and the tube that feeds the sprayer — and push that line through the vent on the back of the door.
Connect the two lines
With the line through the vent, join the ball valve assembly onto the tube you cut. It comes preassembled and pre-set, so it only goes together one way.
Test before reassembly
With the panels still off, run the rear washer and check every joint for leaks. Aim the sprayer at the camera lens and confirm the spray lands where it should.
Check for leaks first
Finding a loose joint now takes a minute. Finding it after the trim is back in takes the whole job again.
Reassemble
Refit the panels in reverse order: back of the door, right, left, then the centre piece. Make sure the tube isn't pinched anywhere as each panel goes back.
Put the spare tire back on last. It sits at an angle going on — line it up as shown, then fit the three lug nuts.
Two people again
Same as taking it off. One person holds the weight and the angle, the other starts the nuts.
